HO SD40-2W Locomotive - New Hope and Ivy - CN Stripe Paintout
The SD40-2W was built by the Diesel Division of General Motors in London, Ontario, Canada for the Canadian National Railway. A total of 123 were constructed between May 1975 and December 1980. The locomotives were seen in service throughout the Canadian National system as well as on other railroads in run-through service. While many remain in service on the Canadian National, many others now operate on regionals, shortlines, and for switching services across the U.S. and Canada.
